Day 1 Welcome to Cape Cod! After your journey with our usual rest and meal stops, we arrive in Cape Cod. We will check-in for our 4-night stay. Cape Cod is known for its spectacular beaches and breathtaking sunsets, the arm of Cape Cod reaches 70 miles into the Atlantic. There is so much to see and do during your stay away from home. A local guide will welcome you. Enjoy dinner (incl.) locally.
Day 2 A full breakfast (incl.) at the hotel. Depart with your local guide for scenic and historic touring along Old King’s Highway through the villages of Hyannis, Hyannisport and Centerville, and continue along to the Village of Sandwich, Cape Cod’s oldest town. See the Hoxie House, the oldest house on Cape Cod and the Dexter Grist Mill on lovely Shawme Pond. Visit the Heritage Museum & Gardens (incl.). Enjoy the magnificent landscaped grounds, the 1912 carousel, and the collections of folk art, scrimshaw, bird carvings, Currier and Ives prints, toys, military miniatures and firearms and the mint condition antique and classic automobiles. A Grand Buffet Lunch (incl.) at Historic Daniel Webster Inn followed by a visit to the Sandwich Glass Museum; see the collections of glass and a glass blowing demonstration; watch a video presentation about rural life at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. Enjoy special exhibits and the gift shop. We will continue to Hyannis and see Saint Francis Xavier Church, where the Kennedy’s worshipped. We will stop at the John F. Kennedy Memorial overlooking Lewis Bay. Return to hotel with free time to enjoy downtown Hyannis. Dinner (on own) this evening.
Day 3 A full breakfast (incl.) at hotel. We depart with guide and tour Martha’s Vineyard Island. We will travel to Falmouth and learn about the Wampanoag Indians, the Aptuxcet Trading Post and the Cape Cod Canal. The round trip cruise will take you from Woods Hole to board the big, comfortable ferry (incl.) to Oak Bluffs. Enjoy the many colorful "Gingerbread Cottages" followed by scenic touring along the ocean to Edgartown for lunch (incl.). Touring continues through the island countryside to the gray cliffs of Gay Head, now a National Historic Landmark. Return from sailing, dinner (on own) on Main Street and free evening.
Day 5 Another full breakfast (incl.) at hotel. Depart for home with wonderful memories of Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard, your vacation by the sea.
Includes: Motorcoach transportation, 4 nights’ lodging and baggage handling, 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners (1 with lobster), taxes and gratuities on included meals, touring Hyannis, Provincetown, Sandwich Glass Museum, Heritage Museum and Gardens, Whale Watch Cruise, ferry and tour of Martha’s Vineyard and local guide.
Deposit: $200.00 per person within 1 week of reservation.
